Mrs. Mary Fort Wilson, 93 passed away April 15, 2016 at her residence. She was born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina on December 16, 1922 to the late Nancy Fort.
In addition to her mother she is preceded in death by her husband Horace Edward Wilson, and a sister, Pauline Isley.
Mrs. Wilson worked at Willowbrook Developmental Center for over 23 years.
Survivors include her son Yusuf Abdul Hakim; grandchildren, Marquis Wilson and wife Anabel, Laquila and Katti;
great grandchildren, Brianna, Justin, Maya, Arianna, Micaiah, Aaliyah and Ethan.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3:30pm, Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home, 2916 Union Road, Gastonia, NC 28054.
Graveside services will follow at 4:00 pm, Thursday at Gaston Memorial Park, Hillcrest II with the releasing of the doves. Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 2916 Union Road, Gastonia 704- 864-5144 is serving the Family.
