Baileyton, TN – Mary Linda Garrett Ramey, 65, formerly of Gastonia passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014 at her residence in TN.
She was born in Sullivan County, TN on September 1, 1948 to the late Lloyd Edward Garrett and Evelyn Hall Garrett Perry.
She was a member of Love Memorial Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star. She was retired from Carolina Brush.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ray Sanders, brothers Jack Perry and Marvin Garrett; and sisters Kathryn Reba Shoemaker and Theresa Cardan.
Survivors include her husband Carl M. Ramey; son, Lanny Ray Sanders of Gastonia; daughters Delilah Folwell of Lincolnton, Belinda Gonce of Johnson City, TN., and Lois Bell of Bristol, VA., five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; brothers and sister in laws, Oneil and Martha Garrett of Dungannon, VA., Tom Perry, Clyde and Lynn Perry all of Afton, TN., Rickie and Betty Perry of Brocton, IL., and David and Paula Perry of Champaign, IL.
Visitation will be Thursday May 29, 2014 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be held Thursday May 29, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. at Gaston Memorial Park with Donald L. Tucker officiating.
Interment will follow at the cemetery.
