Gastonia – Mary Jo Walker Costner, 55, passed away on July 1, 2015 at her residence.
She was born in Gaston County on October 2, 1959 to the late Matthew Romie and Sarah Weaver Walker.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Jay Costner and sister, Sherry Ann Walker
Survivors include her companion, Robert Cope; her sons, Matthew Bryan and Jesse,
daughters, Sissy Costner Leepard and husband Andrew; Jessica
brothers, Jackie, Johnny, and Jimmy Walker
sister, Carolyn Deaton
grandchildren, Johnny Bryan, Gloria Bryan, Summer Stamey, Logan Leepard, and soon to be Colton Leepard
Memorial Service will be 4:00 pm Tuesday, July 7th at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend Ron Hudson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Monday, July 6th at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home.
Interment will be private
