Kings Mountain- Mary Frances Carroll Farris, 73, 526 Ross Rd. passed away November 18, 2009 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of Cherokee County, SC, daughter of the late Irby Hemphill and Minnie Lee Spurling Carroll.
She attended True Vine Church of God.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Eugene and Cleotus Carroll.
Survivors include her husband, Wray Farris, daughters, Mary Ann Reyes, Edna Peak, Darlene Philbeck, Teresa Dover, Tammy Adams, Wanda Van Dyke, sons, Wayne Dover, Tommy Dover, a step-daughter, Alice La Donna Schick, a brother, Henry Ray Carroll of Sumter SC, sisters, Wilma L. Neal, and Ola Mae Goforth both of Gastonia, Betty Jean Foster of Blacksburg SC.
23 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild.
The Family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday night at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm Friday at True Vine Church of God Gastonia with Rev. Ricky Williams and Rev. Wray Farris officiating.
Interment will follow at Canaan Methodist Church Cemetery,
Blacksburg, SC
