Blacksburg, SC-Mary Ann Bowen, 73 of 475 Garner Creek Road went home to be with the Lord November 7, 2012 at Spartanburg Regional surrounded by her family and friends.
She was a native of Logan, West VA., born September 24, 1939 to the late Willard and Opal Mae Le Master Eplin.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers and sisters, Robert, Billy, Bonnie, Tommy Joe, Ralph and David Eplin, and Lillian Hensley

Mary Ann was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Providence Place

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Howard Bowen, Jr.; her sons, Robert Bowen of Blacksburg, William Howard :Billy: Bowen and wife Judy of Louisa, KY; and a daughter Roberta 'Robin' Brackett and husband Andy of Blacksburg; grandchildren, Faith, Heather Marie, Kyle, Kaycee, Jessica and Christian, one great granddaughter, Emilee; a brother, Jimmy Eplin and wife Irene of Gastonia; sisters, Dorothy Brown and husband James of Gastonia, Margaret Sue Caudill and husband George of Logan, West VA
Several nieces and nephews and many many friends

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00pm prior to the service
Celebration of Life service will be 3:00pm, Saturday, November 10 at Providence Place, 4007 South York Road, Gastonia with Bishop Ron Duncan officiating.

Interment will follow at Armstrong Cemetery
