Mary Loudell Bowen

Gastonia- Mary Loudell Bowen, 86, of Gastonia died October 31 2009 at her residence. She was a native of Georgia, daughter of the late Johnny Mitchell Sorrow and Elizabeth Louise Colbert Sorrow.

Mary Loudell was a life long member of a local Baptist Church, a retired sewing machine operator, and the youngest of fifteen children who has preceded her in death. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, and was a wonderful cook
Survivors include her son: Larry Fowler and wife Janice of Gastonia
And a daughter: Patricia Gunn of Gastonia
Grandchildren: Jeffrey King Gunn and wife Robin,
Candie Benard and husband Brent,
Michelle Jackman and husband Ken,
Kimberly Dawn Thomas and Crystal Leigh Sweeten
Great Grandchildren: Robbie Gunn, Cody Jackman, Caiden Jackman and Kendyl Jackman

Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Teague, II officiating

Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm, Monday, November 2, 2009 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Southern Piedmont Chapter, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215
