Gastonia-Mary Lou Bell, 87 of Gastonia died suddenly July 9, 2012 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.

She was born February 18, 1925 in Gaston County to the late Oscar Gilbert and Annie Jenkins Robinson Bell.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Oscar G Bell, Jr and a sister Jennie Sue Gillespie

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, and a member of the Professional Women's Club, and the Republican Women Group. Mary Lou loved to travel, often visiting Australia, Russia, and Germany. She worked at Threads/ Ticaro/ Dixie Yarns and later became American Efird Mills

Her Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2012 at First Baptist Church withDr. Ray Ammons officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery

She is survived by Her niece Susan Thomas and husband Joe of Charlotte;
Two great nieces Angela Tyler, Maria Davis and husband Tom;
three great great nieces Alyssa Tyler, Lauren Tyler and Sydney Davis
