Martha R. Huffstetler
December 31, 1923 — November 20, 2010
Gastonia-Martha Ratchford Huffstetler, 86, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, November 20, 2010 at The Robin Johnson House.
She was a native of Gaston County, born December 31, 1923 to the late Percy and Nannie Harrison Ratchford. Ms. Huffstetler was a member of Olney Presbyterian Church. She retired from Homelite with 30 years.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and mother-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank Huffstetler
a brother Lucius Ratchford and two sisters, Frances Stevenson and Ruth Barker
Survivors include her son, J. Scott Huffstetler and wife Benita Stroupe Huffstetler, granddaughter, Kaitlyn Huffstetler
Celebration of Life service will be 3:00pm, Monday, November 22, 2010 at Olney Presbyterian Church with Pastor Kevin Kellough and Pastor Curtis Wilson officiating
Family will receive friends 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the service at the church
Interment will follow in the church cemetery with the Releasing of the Doves
Pallbearers will be Danny Huffstetler, Mike Delaney, Benny Stroupe, Jason Shroff, Steve Huffstetler, and John Kim
The family would like to thank the special care unit at Courtland Terrace
and the staff at Robin Johnson for their wonderful care.
