GASTONIA – Martha Rachel Neal Galloway, 93, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 27, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was a native of Lincoln County, born March 19, 1926 to the late Green Berry Neal and Florence Rachel Leonhardt Neal.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, James E Galloway; siblings, Ada, Shirley, Ervin, John Adam, Alvin, Marvin, and Odell Neal.
She was a member of Fraley Memorial Baptist Church where she was very active. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother; and was a dear and loyal friend to all. Martha truly loved the Lord.
Survivors include her daughters, Nalene Hall, Rachel Hamilton and husband Luke; and a son, James N. Galloway; grandchildren, Steven and Christine Queen, Lanny and Pam Queen, Sondra and Shane Caughey, Jamie and Kim Queen,
Wendy and Mackenzie Hamilton, Heather Boykin, Brandon and Ashley Jolly, Stephanie Costner; great-grandchildren, Brittany Queen, Tyler Queen, Libby Queen, Alexandria Caughey, Dakota Caughey, Scott Queen, Jamie Lee Queen, Caramia Boykin, Harper Jolly, Ethan Costner, Devan Costner and Hayleigh Costner; a brother, Joe Neal and many nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 29th at Fraley Memorial Baptist Church,3025 Fraley Church Road, Gastonia, NC 28054 with Dr. Warner Doles and Rev. Charles Keller officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 prior to the service.
Entombment will be at Gaston Memorial Park Mausoleum D.
Pallbearers will be Shane Caughey, Dakota Caughey, Steven Queen, Lanny Queen, Jamie Queen,
