1929-2017
Marjorie Jean Anders Shook, 87, entered into heaven on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the Robin Johnson House surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Barnardsville, North Carolina and was the daughter of the late John Judson and Ida Mae Wheeler Anders.
Mrs. Shook retired from Matthews-Belk Company where she worked in the Ladies Accessory Department. She was a member of Life Church, Cramerton.
Mrs. Shook is survived by her daughter, Jean Shook Stiles of Gastonia; two grandchildren, Aaron Stiles and wife Angela and their children, Blake Stiles, Tara Hicks and husband J.C., and their 2 children, Carson Hicks, Jinxx Hicks; Shannon Stiles Branham and husband Shawn and their 2 children, Colton Bowers, Marah Branham.
Mrs. Shook was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 50 years, Carl Ted Shook; 9 brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sammy Oxendine and Rev. Chris Kennedy officiating.
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park with the Releasing of the Doves.
