Gastonia-Rose Marie "Toots" Shelton Stroud, 83 formerly of 8532 NC 700, Ruffin, NC passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of Danville, VA born November 4, 1929 to the
late Daniel and Ollie Shelton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Donald Wilson Sroud.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan Stroud Current of Gastonia, and her granddaughter Shelton Marie Current of Chapel Hill, NC.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, March 23, 2013 at All Saints' Episcopal Church, 1201 South New Hope Road, Gastonia, NC 28054 Reverend Gary Butterworth officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service
A visitation on Sunday, March 24 from 2:00 until 3:30 at Towns Funeral Home, Danville, VA
Graveside services will be 4:00pm Sunday, March 24 at the Happy Home Church Cemetery, Ruffin, NC
Memorials may be made to the Gaston Humane Society, 114 Sherrill Road, Gastonia, NC 28052
