Gastonia – Florence Marie Messer Reid, 52 passed away on August 21, 2020 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Gaston County on August 14, 1968 to Marie Earley Messer and the late Glenn Messer. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her son, Mark Reid and a brother James Messer.
Marie attended Church of God and was a Med Tech in the Mental Health Care. She was a loving daughter, wife and mother. Everybody loved her. She enjoyed making people laugh and taking care of the homeless. Marie loved Life!!
Marie is survived by her husband of 34 years, James Reid; her loving mother, Marie Messer; a son, Matthew Reid; brother Jeffery Messer
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 pm on Wednesday, August 26th at Living Hope Baptist Church with Dr. Danny Gardner and Dr. David Gardner officiating.
Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service
Interment will be Private at Gaston Memorial Park
