Gastonia – Margot E Smith, 58 passed away peacefully on November 6, 2018 at her residence with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Germany on January 22, 1960 to the late Pauline Pionke.
She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend who will be greatly missed!
Margot was a member of First United Methodist Church. She moved from Germany early in life. She was a teacher's assistant. Margot was very proud of her children, especially her son being in the Army.
Left to cherish her memories includes her husband of 20 years, Mike Smith; her children, Justin (Clarissa) Wroblewski, Amanda Wroblewski; grandchildren, Bentley, Bailyn, Blaine, Ashby, Isabella, Madelyn and Violet; step daughter Wendy (Mark) Borkowski and her children Hannah and Ethan; brothers, Bernd, Meinhardt, Mickey and Hans all of Germany;
and her beloved fur babies, Pepe, Slim and Sophie.
Celebration of Life service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 10th at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James Westmoreland officiating.
The family will speak to guest following the service.
