Dallas – Margie Huffstetler Brown, 82, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2015 with her husband by her side at the Robin Johnson House.

She was born in Gaston County on June 29, 1933 to the late Robert and Lucy Hedgepath Huffstetler

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Glenn, Ray, Paul, Claude and Purvie; and a sister, Evelyn Maddox


Margie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed greatly! She was the former owner of the Brown Restaurant where she and her husband worked for many years. Margie was a member of Dallas Baptist Church, where she was active with the young people in the training union. She liked to sew, often making the girls clothing through the years.

Survivors include her loving husband of almost 66 years, Billy Floyd Brown; daughters, Myra Ford and husband Fred of Gastonia;
Annette Hudson and husband Robert of Hendersonville; Granddaughters, Melissa Wike and husband Michael; Susan Miller and husband Joe;
Kathy Hilderbrand and husband Reiggin; Great Grandchildren, Samantha, Zach, Virginia and Breck; Sister, Edna Hawkins

Celebration of life service will be Wednesday, August 19th at 11:00 am at Dallas Baptist Church with Reverends Bill Abrams and Barron Lee officiating.

Visitation will be 1 hr prior to the service in the Family Life Center at Dallas Baptist Church, 402 West Main Street, Dallas

Inurnment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park Mark I Section with the releasing of the doves
