Margaret C. Blattau

Dallas- Margaret Costner Blattau, 79 of Dallas passed away peacefully September 10, 2012 at her daughters with her loving family beside her.
She was a native of Gaston County, born September 11, 1932 to the late Reid and Ruth Bumgardner Costner.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph Blattau and brothers, Jay and Rob Costner and a sister Faye Costner
Margaret was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church, and had worked at J.P. Stevens for many years.
Survivors include her children, Diane Reynolds, Joey Blattau, Mary Clemmer, Michael Blattau, Ricky Blattau, Bobby Blattau, Rosie Mrotz and Becky Wood; Sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; brothers, Clyde and Roger Costner; sisters, Lois Ingle, Geraldine Moose, Patsy Rankin and Sarah Bundy
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00pm Tuesday at Walnut Grove Baptist Church, 3255 Dallas Cherryville Hwy., Dallas
Celebration of life service will be 11:00am, Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Walnut Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Fain Farmer officiating.
Interment will be at Hardin Baptist Church Cemetery
Pallbearers will be Bobby Blattau, Jason Harris, Bill Bivens, Charles Bundy, David Duncan and Michael Mrotz
The family will be at the home of Becky Wood, 345 Loray Farm Road, Dallas, NC 28034
