Maggie Guffey Truett

Gastonia-Maggie Guffey Truett, 88 of 969 Cox Road, Gastonia passed away January 5, 2014 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Robbinsville, NC, born April 25, 1925 to the late William T and Dora Ingle Guffey. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Dewey Champ Truett and sisters, Ruth Campbell, Elizia Guffey Messer and Sue Guffey, brothers, J.D. Guffey, Leonard Guffey, Robert Guffey, Edward Guffey, Ralph Guffey, James Guffey and William Guffey, Sr.
She was retired from Textiles.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers: Joey Guffey, Ed Guffey, Jordan Guffey, William Guffey, Jr., Tony Grant, Shane Guffey, Wesley Morton.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service
Celebration of Life service will be 3:00 pm Saturday, January 11, 2014 at South Marietta Street Baptist Church with Reverend Tommy Self officiating
Burial will follow at Hollywood Cemetery
