Madge Ellen Andrews Hatcher

Gastonia- Madge Andrews Hatcher, 92 passed away on April 13, 2018 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Greenville, South Carolina on July 15, 1925 to the late Henry Francis and Madge Styers Andrews. In Addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Jennings Leon Hatcher; Mrs. Hatcher was the last of seven siblings.
Mrs. Hatcher was a member of First Baptist Church for over 76 years. She retired from Gaston Memorial Hospital as a lab tech. She was a volunteer with Crisis Assistance Ministry for over 20 years. Madge was very loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all her family.
Survivors include her children Robert Andrew Hatcher of Gastonia, Timothy Howard Hatcher (Dale) of Cheshire, CT, Myra Jane Mallard (Lee) of LaGrange, NC, and Elizabeth Ann Brown (Ted) of Kannapolis, NC; Three Grandchildren Matthew Brown (Taylor Lomax), Lucas Brown, Arlo Hatcher; sisters in law, Nadara Andrews and Juanita Hatcher.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 16th at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend Steven Fuller officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm prior to the service
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Garden of Four Season section
