Mack M. Laws, born to Cody and Luci Laws on June 3, 1912, passed away July 6th, 2011.
Mack was a loving husband and father. He was reliable employee of various textile companies in Gaston County. He served in the Baltimore ship-yards during War War II as a welder. A former deacon and teacher at Gospel Baptist Church and Unity Baptist Church, Mack remained rooted in the scriptures.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 57 years Ruby Franks Laws, his daughter Shirley Martin, his daughter Ellen Welch, his brothers George, Jesse, Charley, and William, his brothers-in-law and wives, Raymond Franks and Elaine, Theodore Franks and Dolly and grandchild Cynthia Laws.
He is survived by his son, Dr. Raymond Laws and wife Emiiy Smith Laws, his daughter Linda Jeniene Owens and husband Richard, his daughter, Judy Czerwinski and husband John all of Gastonia, and his son-in-law, James Martin of Georgia. He is also survived by his grandchildren and their families: Donnie Ray Welch, Debra and Kevin Griffin, Andrew Martin, Shelby and Tommy Fields, Angela and David Sayre, Annette and Jason Voyles, Janette and Chris Conner, Lori and Roger Brock, Kenneth and Lestari Laws, and Doug and Angie Czerwinski Bowen, Teresa Czerwinski Gallagher. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Polly Laws and many nieces and nephews.
