Mable M. Hamilton

Gastonia-Mable McKenzie Hamilton, 87 formerly of 140 Burton Circle, went home to be with the Lord on January 2, 2011 at Murphy Medical Center.
She was a native of Richmond County, born September 12, 1923
to the late Edgar Alvin and Rena Armantine Capel McKenzie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jasper Hamilton and a grandson, Charles Allen Mingus.
Mable was a member of Oakland Memorial Baptist Church. She retired from Pinkney Mills with over 40 years service.

Survivors include children: Luke Hamilton and wife Rachel of Ranlo, NC
Sondra Newton and husband L.C. of Murphy, NC; Christine Mingus and husband Charles of Andrews, NC
Grandchildren: Mitchell Newton, Randall Newton, Mark Newton, Robbie Newton, Sondra Caughey, Stephanie Costner and Wendy Hamilton
Sixteen great grandchildren, Laurie, Abby, Hagen, Chase, Erika, Nick, Kyle, Garrett, Blake, Brook, Brysen, Alex, Dakota, Hayleigh, Devan, Ethan; Sister, Rebecca Anne Gregory and husband John M. of Salisbury, NC
A Celebration of Life service will be at 12:00 Noon, Thursday, January 6, 2011at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Mitchell Newton

The family will receive friends 1 hr prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park with the Releasing of the Doves
