Gastonia – Carol Lynn Crawley, 63, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 24, 2015 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on June 14, 1952, daughter of the late Rev. John Wilson, Sr. and Virginia Carol Jones Wilson.

She worked at Danaher Tool Group for 14 years and came out of the plant from working due to health issues.
Lynn loved all people; she really loved her Church, South Gastonia Church of God, her pastor, Brother Bobby Gilley and Brother Sam Barnette.

After her son graduated in 1999, she continued to volunteer at her school, Victory Christian Academy until her health declined. She always prayed for her school and her church. She graduated from Hoke County High School in Raeford, NC. She later went to classes at night and received certificates in typing, ambulance service and cake decorating.
Lynn took care of her precious mother. She moved to Nashville, NC to provide care for her mother from November 2007 until August 2008.

She is survived by the love of her heart, her son Matthew Crawley; sisters, Sherry Midgette and husband Butch of Garner, NC; Chris Dees of Rocky Mount, NC; Kim Emory and husband Buddy of Rocky Mount, NC; brother, John Wilson, Jr., and wife Jean of Fort Myers, Florida; Mark Wilson of Atlanta, GA; nieces and nephews, Frank Dees and wife Sharon of Rocky Mount, NC; Joe Dees and wife Jennifer of Anniston, AL; Reverend Brandon Dees and wife Julie of Rocky Mount, NC; Terry Wilson and wife Jenna of Rutherfordton, NC; Debbie Wilson of Greensboro, NC; Benjamin Towns and wife Natalie of Villa Rica, GA; niece, Jenny Emory Langerud and husband Cal of Holly Ridge, NC; Cindy Midgette Wilbur and husband Skip of Garner, NC; Carrie Midgette of Garner, NC; her precious great nieces and nephews, Mary Clara, Able, Priscilla and Julianna, Will Franklin, Ada Joy and Evey Dees; too many special cousins and friends to mention

Lynn was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Carol Jones Wilson and father, Reverend John Wilson, Sr.; brother, Kent Wayne "Poodle" Wilson, maternal grandparents, David and Nellie Jones, paternal grandparents, Fannie and Lawrence Wilson, aunts and uncles, Juanita Jones, David Jones, Evelyn and Fred Beheler, Ben and Deanna Wilson, Fred Green, Robert and Nora Wilson, cousin, Timmy Wilson, Gene Wilson, Freddia Green, Jimmy Jones, Johnny and Nellie Jean Glover, Lynn Glover, Jackie Glover and Rodger Beheler

Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, June 26th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at South Gastonia Church of God, 310 Carolina Avenue, Gastonia, NC 28052.

Celebration of Life Service will follow visitation at 7:00 p.m. at the church with Reverend Bobby Gilley and Reverend Sam Barnette officiating.

Interment will be Saturday, June 27th at 11:00 a.m. Gaston Memorial Park, Garden of Honor Section
