Gastonia – Lois Quinn Weathers, 83, entered into her Heavenly Home on October 13, 2015 at Terrace Ridge Assisted Living Gastonia

She was born in Bowling Green, SC on December 3, 1931 to the late Pearl Barbour and George Robert Quinn

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, James Wilson Weathers; son, Jeffrey Wayde Weathers; her sister, Jean Quinn Clippard; brother-in-law, Verlin Davis

Lois was a 1950 graduate of Belmont High School and a very proud graduate of Gaston Memorial School of Nursing. She worked at Gaston Memorial Hospital in the Neonatal Birthplace as the Charge Nurse for over 42 years. Lois was a member of East Garrison Baptist Church where she was very active for many years and enjoyed singing in the choir. She was a loving mother and sister who will be missed greatly!

Left to cherish her memories include sons, Keith Wilson Weathers and wife Sharon; Nathan Clark Weathers; sisters, Emma Lee Lineberger and husband John; Patricia Sue Davis; Martha Dillard and husband Don; brother, Robert Clayton Quinn; Brother-in-laws, Boyce Weathers and Kerry Clippard
5 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews

The family will be receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm on Friday, October 16th at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home

A Celebration of life service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, October 16th at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend Jack Fleming and Reverend Charles Ledford officiating.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park with the releasing of the doves

Memorials may be made to East Garrison Baptist Church, 1226 East Garrison Boulevard, Gastonia, NC 28054
and/or Gaston Hospice, Post Office 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054

The family expresses heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Terrace Ridge and her wonderful sitters and caregivers.
