GASTONIA – Lloyd Frank Moses, 83, passed away May 9, 2014 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House - Southminster in Charlotte.

He was native of Clover, South Carolina, born, January 7, 1931 to the late Frank and Irene Norton Moses. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

She is survived by his Children, Kathy Davidson (James), Frankie Philbeck (Wayne), Linda Haney (Clyde), Rebecca Stewart (Michael), Johnny Moses Elizabeth Gladden (Shane), Mark Moses, Jeffery Moses (Deborah), Lorne Moses (Clara Dorsey); sisters, Margaret Parker, Mildred Pressley and Lila White; 17 grandchildren; 24 great- grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years Connie Evans Moses and his parents, Frank and Irene Norton Moses and infant brother Frank Evans.

A funeral service will be held 3:30 pm, Wednesday at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Commissioner Tracy Philbeck officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Pall bearers: Brandon Davidson, Shannon Sharpe, David Haney, Benji Davidson, Steven Moses, Jeffery Moses and Levi Philbeck

Interment will follow the service at Bethany A.R.P. Church Cemetery in Clover, S.C. with military honors by the Gaston County Honor Guard.
