CHERRYVILLE -- Linda Curtis Smith, 74 of 113 Delmac Drive, Cherryville, passed away December 2, 2016. She was born August 28, 1942, in Gaffney, SC, to the late Ray and Beatrice Curtis.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband Gordon Smith, her nephews David Curtis Gregg and Michael Keith Owenby.
She is survived by her daughter Carmon Smith Chandler her son-in-Law Jeff Chandler and two granddaughters Jami and Jesi of Mebane, NC, three sisters, Sandra Curtis Owenby and her husband Calvin, Joann Curtis Knight, Diane Curtis Gregg and her husband Gary. 2 nephews and 3 nieces, 11 Great nephews and nieces
The family will visit with friends and relatives from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, December 31, 2016, with the memorial service immediately following at Chapel Grove Baptist Church, 716 Camp Rotary Road, Gastonia, NC. The Reverend Roger Overton and Gary Gregg will be conducting the service.
