Gastonia – Linda Medlock, 65, of Gastonia passed away peacefully on March 11, 2014 at her home.
Linda was born in Gaston County on February 20, 1949 to the late John and Irene Hampton Chesney. She was a loving wife, Mother and Grandmother and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Arthur Eugene Medlock and Eugene (Bo) Medlock, brothers; Buddy Hill Jimmy Randall Chesney.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Eugene Medlock, Sr.
Son, Timothy Matthew Medlock; Daughters, Melinda Medlock Bolin and husband John;
Deborah Jean Medlock; Brother, Johnny Richard Chesney; Sisters, Dorothy O'Neal and husband Pat; Barbara Fisher and husband Wayne
Grandchildren: Heather LeAnn Smith, Brittany Nicole Medlock, Matthew Eugene Medlock, Brandon John Bolin and Jonathan Tyler Medlock
Great Grandchildren: McKenzie Severance and Landon Medlock
Two very special friends, Patty Penley and Crystal Bragg Duncan

Visitation will be Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 6-8:00 pm at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home and the Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, March 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend Kevin Allen Whitt officiating.
Interment will follow at Olney Presbyterian Cemetery, Gastonia, NC with the Releasing of the Doves.
Pallbearers; Spencer Lewis, Matthew Medlock, John Bolin, Scott Penley, Brandon Bolin and Jonathan Medlock.
