Gastonia – Cynthia Elizabeth "Libby" Bynum Dye. 71, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2018 at the Robin Johnson House.

She was born in Gaston County on February 16, 1947 to the late Walter F. Bynum and Lacy Stafford Bynum. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sibling, Dick Bynum, Betty Robinson, Dean Hart, Mary Edith Roper, Shirley Mims, Rachel Click, Sue Dye, Billie Correll, Nita Dixon and Ann Glover.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed!
She was a member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church. Libby retired from Rowley Company with over 26 years of service. She loved to cook and make wedding cakes. Libby enjoyed fishing and softball. Most of all she loved spending time with her wonderful grandchildren and great grandbabies.

Left to cherish her memories includes her husband of 54 years, David Neal Dye;
her sons, Wade Ross "Rusty" Dye and Grady Neal Dye(Crystal);
grandchildren, Chad, Joshua, Derek (Stephanie) and Anthony Dye, Cayla Foster(Corbin); great grandsons, Greyson and Lucas

The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 29th at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home
with Reverend Richard Brown officiating.
