Gastonia-Lela McSwain Jenkins, 89 of Gastonia went home to be with the Lord June 8, 2012 at Alexandria Place.
She was a native of York County, SC born December 6, 1922 to the late
Ernest and Ether Hill McSwain.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Truett Lamar Jenkins who died October 13, 1982.
Her sisters, Agnes Currence, Virtie Ramsey, Hazel Morrow, Stella McAllister Etta Oates and Earnest Lang
Survivors include her son, David Jenkins and wife Vicki;
And her daughter Vickie Ensley and husband Ernest, Jr. all of Gastonia
Grandchildren Chad Jenkins and wife Shannon, Lana Eller and husband Zane; Great Grandchildren, Zoey, Riley, Mason and Hudson;
Sister Mary Gibson of Jacksonville, NC
Graveside services will be Private at Gaston Memorial Park with Reverend Raleigh Castelloe and Reverend Ronnie Bowers officiating
