Gastonia - Larry Kent Foster, 72, passed away August 9, 2013 at his residence.
He was a native of Guilford Co., born April 21, 1941 to the late Redmond Jesse and Ethel Lowe Foster.
Larry spent his career with Western Auto/Advance Auto. An avid golfer, he spent his final years working and playing at Gastonia Municipal Golf Course.
Survivors include his brother Bradley Foster and his wife Nellie of Concord; daughters Terry Foster and Wendy McKinney of Dallas; Half Brother Stephen Foster of Durham and Half sister Rev. Ann Myers & husband Buzz of Harrisburg, PA., son Shannon Foster of Liberty; two grandsons and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be one hour before the service.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 Saturday October 12, 2013 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Rev. Ann K. Myers officiating.
