Dallas – Lacy Herring, Jr., 80 passed away on December 29, 2019 at the Brian Center – Gastonia.
He was born in Gaston County on June 18, 1939 to the late Lacy Herring and Mary Morrow. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Ruby Davis Herring and Ina Faye Norris Herring.
Lacy was a lifelong member of Gaston Baptist Church. Lacy enjoyed his fellowship with the Men of the church and his many trips fishing. He worked at Tom's BBQ for over 34 years. Left to cherish his memories includes his church family and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 2nd prior to the Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 p.m., at Gaston Baptist Church with Reverend Richard Gaddis and Reverend Hazel Boyd officiating.
