Dallas- Kevin Ashley Fields, 59 of Dallas passed away unexpectedly at his residence on June 13, 2014.
Kevin was a native of Gaston County, born November 7, 1954 to the late Sherman Robert "Sandy" Fields and Lois Willis Fields.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Sherman Robert "Sonny" Fields, Jr.
He was a lifelong resident of Gaston County and a graduate of North Gaston High School. He loved NASCAR and attending the races. Kevin enjoyed traveling and spending time in the mountains, and was a volunteer for the Spencer Mountain Fire Department.
He was very devoted to his friends and family.
He is survived by his daughter, Ashley Fields and his sister Lynn Fields Jimison and husband Jeff of Gastonia,
his brother Mike Fields of Dallas and his sister-in-law Anne R Fields of Mt. Holly;
niece Sarah Jimison and nephew Alex Jimison and too many dear friends to mention
A Memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend Sydnor Thompson officiating
The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment will be private at Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church cemetery
