Belmont - Kenneth Wayne Williams, 72, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 6th, 2018 at his home in Belmont, NC.
Kenny is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dianne Morgan Williams and his daughter, Sharon Williams Taylor (Jason) of Kannapolis, NC. He is also survived by his brother, Kermit Dean Williams (Gerri) of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren Kimberly Brooke Fowler and Ryan Chase Fowler; great granddaughter Jasmine Marie Fowler.
He was the son of the late Roy William Williams and Lillian Hurst Williams.
Since 1972, Kenny served as the "Voice of the Red Raiders" for the South Point High School football team. He also volunteered his time with the South Point baseball team. For the past 20 years, he worked at H&R Block.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2018 at South Point Baptist Church, 124 Horsley Avenue, Belmont with the Celebration of Life Service to follow at 4:00 p.m. with Reverend Mike Phillips officiating.
Pallbearers will be Robin Buchanan, Doug Waters, Milas Culberson, Frank Justice, Joe Messer and Steve McLean
