Gastonia – Kenneth Ray McGee, Sr., 68, went to be with our Lord on March 3, 2021, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born in Gaston County on September 13, 1952, to the late John Ray McGee and Betty Truelove McGee.
Kenneth worked in the textile industry for most of his life. In his later years, he became a long-haul truck driver where he retired after many years of dedicated service. He enjoyed working in his garage and in his buildings. He was blessed with a talent for creating new inventions. Kenneth also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and doing work on his tractor. He cherished all the memories he made with his family; especially the many trips he and his wife enjoyed while in the North Carolina Mountains and Tennessee.
Left to cherish his memories is his loving wife of 49 years, Linda Brown McGee; his beloved sons, Kenneth McGee, Jr. (April), Jason McGee (Michelle)
and his wonderful grandchildren Mia, Maylee and Elijah.
Services will be private for the family.
