Gastonia – Kenneth Franklin Pressley, 80, joined our heavenly Father peacefully at the Robin Johnson House on September 22, 2016 surrounded by his family and in the devoted, loving care of hospice.
He was born in Gaston County on August 16, 1936 to the late Charles and Ruby Bolin Pressley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Jack, Lawrence, Gene, Barbara, Dorothy and Princess
Ken was a member of Life Church in Cramerton and a veteran of the US Army. He deeply loved his devoted wife Bobbie and their family. He enjoyed going to the beach and mountains with his family and especially cherished spoiling his grandchildren! In recent years he handled adversity of his health with grace and honor. He exemplified integrity and faithfulness in all aspects of his life.
Left to cherish his memories include his loving wife of 38 years, Bobbie Brackett Pressley; children, Ken Pressley, Jr., (Robin); Bob Pressley, Linda P. Ford (Dan) and Denise Bridges (Rob); 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Pressley; sister, Irene Day; and his beloved fur baby Luna
Family will receive friends at the home 2508 Monterey Park Drive, Gastonia on Saturday, September 24th from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Family extends heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Michael Case and the staff of Robin Johnson for their care and compassion for Ken.
