Gastonia ' Kay Tanner Hanline, 69 went to be with her Heavenly Father January 26, 2012 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Darlington County, SC. born January 29,1942 to the late James P. and Kathleen Marshall Tanner.
Kay was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and was known for her loving smile. She was Retired from Avon Bonded Warehouse after 34 years of service, she was very active in her former church where she sent cards to the shut ins. She was the Laity award winner a number of times.
Survivors include her husband of 29 years Jerry Hanline, daughters & spouses Ruth Presnell and James, Priscilla Mukenschnabl and Danny, sons & spouses Mike Hanline and Valorie, Ronnie Hanline and Tara, David Hanline and fianc' Melanie Bast, sister Susan Holland, 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Iris Lewis, and two grandchildren Adam and Emily Hanline.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday, January 30, 2012 at Trinity United Methodist Church with Pastor Paul Brown officiating.
The family will receive friends 6:00 until 8:00pm Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Bethesda Methodist Church Cemetery.
