Kathy Lynn Dyson

Kathy Lynn Dyson, 68, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.  Kathy was born in Asheboro, North Carolina on October 8, 1954, and was the daughter of the late Johnny Milo Dyson and Mary Frances Osborne Dyson.

Kathy was a member of First Wesleyan Church.  She was a Florist and worked for many years with Talley Florist and later in her career, for Gaston Floral Gardens where she found her true niche in life.  She was a true friend to many and cared deeply for everyone. She will be missed by her family of friends at Gaston Floral Gardens and the many friends she met during her career assisting people with their flower needs. 

She is survived by her aunt, Betty Bailey; uncle, John Osborne; cousins, Chip Bailey (Doug), Beth Bailey and Lisa Dutt (Swandip) and cousin in law Beth Spivey.  She is also survived by her treasured friends, David Keener and Scott Laney and her family of friends at Gaston Floral Gardens.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, uncles, Don Osborne and Don Bailey, aunts and uncles, Frances and Paul Maness, and Estelle and Clinton Spivey and cousin Randy Spivey.

A Celebration of Life will held be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday January 8, 2023, at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Nikki Fitzpatrick officiating. Family and friends will greet visitors after the service. Interment will be private and at a later date.
