1933-2016
Dallas- Kate Green Lineberger, 82, passed away on March 25th at Robin Johnson House surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Jackson County on September 28, 1933 to the late William Walter and Mattie Belle Green.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Brady Rhyne Lineberger and their son, Timothy Rhyne Lineberger; brothers, James, Otis, R.C. and Claude Green
She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed greatly. Kate was a member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church in Dallas. She retired from Wix after 39 years of dedicated service. Kate loved to bake and everyone enjoyed "her pound cakes." She enjoyed working in the yard and being outside. She loved to travel and she enjoyed many trips over the years with her husband Brady.
Survivors include her daughter, Meredith Brooks of Dallas and grandchildren, Shannon Brooks of Dallas and Scotty Brooks (Ashlee) of Mt. Holly; great grandchildren, Tallon Brooks and another baby girl on the way due in August;
sister, Joyce Green of Sylva, NC
Celebration of Life Service will be Wednesday, March 30th at 2:00 p.m. at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Pastor David Drysdale officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Interment will be private
It was Kate's desire for memorials to be made to the family in lieu of flowers
