Charlotte -Karen Ann Patterson Kalbach, 56 of Gastonia went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at CMC-Mercy, Charlotte.
She was a native of Gaston County, born December 12, 1954.
Karen was a member of Unity Baptist Church. She loved bird watching, the beach, island and traveling. Karen was good at anything she did.
She loved her Labrador dog, Boots
She was preceded in death by a brother Eric Gordon Patterson
Survivors include her companion of 18 years, Gary Shepherd of the home;
Her father, Gordon Crayton Patterson and wife Ruth Wright Patterson of Gastonia; her mother Louise Raby Cheatham of Lincolnton;
Her sisters, Jane and her family; Gretchen and her family
Celebration of life service will be 2:00pm, Saturday, June 4, 2011at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel
Family will receive friends following the service
Interment will be private
