Gastonia - Kalynn Marie Coffman (Sanders), 24, entered into Heaven on Monday, August 13, 2018 at Duke University Hospital with her loving fiancé, Damon Sanders by her side. Kalynn was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania and is the daughter of Robert Coffman and wife Roberta of West Virginia and Pamela Kandel Jay and husband Robert of Shelby.

Kalynn was a graduate of Bessemer City High School and attended Gaston College where she began her love to work with and in Art.

Those left to cherish Kalynn's memories, include her fiancé, Damon Sanders and his three children whom Kalynn loved as her own, Damon Wayne Sanders, Jr., Daphney Renee Sanders, Danyelle Elizabeth Sanders; her father and step-mother, Robert and Roberta Coffman of West Virginia; her mother and step-father, Pamela and Robert Jay of Shelby; six brothers, Chad Coffman, Isaac Coffman, Kevin Coffman, Jonathan Coffman, Bobby Jay, Daniel Jay, ; three sisters, Lisa Mills, Cheyenne Jay, Amanda Jay; Damon's mother, Lorinda Sanders; Damon's sister, Harley Sanders and other family members, April, Justin and Madeline McKenzie.

The family will receive friends at their home, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., on Friday, August 24th and 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., on Saturday, August 25, 2018.

The family will have a Celebration of Life Service that will be announced at a later date.
