Blacksburg, SC-Junior David Phillips, 69 passed away peacefully on June 24, 2014 at Hospice and Community Care, Rock Hill, SC
He was born in Murphy, NC on June 8, 1945 to the David and Willa Bell Truett Phillips.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Sherry Truett White, and a grandson Jason Vinson Revels, Brother Frankie Phillips and a sister Louise Keener
Junior was an U.S. Army veteran. He was a loving husband father and grandfather. Junior was a hard working man, working at Wix Corp and later Freightliner now Daimler for over 29 ½ years before retiring. He will be greatly missed by all. No other man will be able to fill his shoes.. He was a great man!!
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Jessie Jones Phillips; his sons Joshua Lee Phillips and Peyton Boyd Phillips; a daughter Lisa Truett Dockery; grandchildren Jessica Clarkson and Justin Revels; a brothers Jackie Phillips and Virgil Jerry Phillips, and sisters Molly Tosh and Faye Beavers;
Brother-in-law William Jones and a Sister-in-law Nancy Winders and husband Harry Lee
Visitation will be at his home at a later date
A Memorial Service will be at a later date
