Gastonia – June Mae Harper Hendrix, 85, passed away on November 6, 2016 at Peak Resources Cherryville.
She was born in Claxton, Georgia on October 31, 1931 to the late Jessie and Docia Todd Harper.
June was retired from textiles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul Lewis Hendrix, Sr.;
1 son, Tommy Hendrix and a daughter, Elizabeth Bishop, 9 brothers and sisters
Survived by her sons, Billy Teague and wife Cheryl, Paul Hendrix and wife Sabrina; daughter,
Jackie Kantor; brother Bill Harper and wife Mae of Claxton, GA; 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren
Family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 pm, Wednesday, November 9th at Garver Memorial Baptist Church, 1920 Modena Street, Gastonia, NC with A Celebration of Life Service to follow at 1:00 p.m., with Reverend David Stewart and Reverend Don Motts officiating.
Interment will be at Hollywood Cemetery
Pallbearers will be Glenn, Jon and Nathan Katen, Brian Teague, David Cooper and James W. Dixon
