Gastonia – Julius "Slick Rick" Ray Parker, 60, passed away on July 17, 2014 at Brian Center in Gastonia.
He was a native of Rutherford County, North Carolina. He was born May 19, 1954.
He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Lee Parker and his wife of 25 years Janet parker.
Survivors include sons Richard Parker , Stephen Parker and wife Jennifer; daughters Christal Byrne and husband John and Angela Hargett and husband Ted; brothers David Dwayne Parker and Dale Thomas Parker; eleven grandchildren.
A visitation for family and friends will be Sunday July 20, 2014 from 2:00-6:00 pm at the home of Angela Hargett, 3227 Brandywine Dr. Gastonia, NC 28052.
Interment will be private.
