1924-2015
Belmont – Juanita Rose Ramsey Watson, 91 went to be with her Lord Tuesday evening September 15, 2015.
She was born in Belmont, May 2, 1924 to the late Ephraim Winslow Ramsey and Susan Parker Ramsey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank O. Watson, her daughter, Susan Watson Archbell Jernigan, and her sister Margaret Ellen Ramsey; sister-in-law, Athalee Ramsey, brother-in-law, Billy C. Caldwell.
Juanita worked in the office of Dr. Pritchard, a neurologist in Charlotte. She then worked at the First Presbyterian Church of Belmont's preschool program. She was greatly beloved by the children there, many of whom sent her notes and pictures as they grew. She enjoyed writing in her journals and sending hand written letters to friends and family. Her family will miss her jokes and laughter, her one of a kind biscuits, and her eye for beautiful trinkets.
She is survived by her brother Carl Ramsey; her sister, Ruby Caldwell of the home;
her granddaughter Susan Archbell; two great granddaughters; and several nieces and a nephew.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm prior to the service.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 pm, on Saturday, September 19th at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home Reverend Jeff Taylor officiating.
Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Belmont with the Releasing of the Doves.
Pallbearers will be Bill Jonas, Bill McCumbee, Chris Beck, Ted Rumfelt, Tony Hodge, Lanny Ray, Newt Hicks, Tommy Cline and Leroy Young
