Gastonia – Joyce Arlene Bolick Summey, 73 went to be with the Lord on April 7, 2013 at Peak Resources.
She was a native of Gastonia, NC. born July 8, 1939 to the late Glenn E. & Bennie Greene Bolick.
She was a faithful loving mother, grandmother and sister.
Joyce was a member of Love Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include son Eric L. Summey and wife Karen of Morganton, brother Aaron G. Bolick of Charleston, SC, sisters Jeanette B. O'Keefe of Charleston, SC and Barbara B. Wright of Gastonia, grandchildren Ashleigh Summey and Mitchell Summey Joshua Mosier.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 10 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Griffin officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Hollywood Cemetery, Gastonia, NC
Memorials can be made to Love Memorial Baptist Church Youth Fund 311 E. Walnut Ave. Gastonia, NC 28054
