Our loving mother, Joy Patricia Dedmond Stacey, 75, of Gastonia, passed away October 31st at Gaston Memorial Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family.
She was retired from Gaston County Schools, Department of Exceptional Children, after 22 years of service. She was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Ralph Stacey, her parents, James and Cola Dedmond and a sister, Frankie Cross.
She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Willard of Roanoke, Virginia and sons, Terry Neal and wife, Tina of Cherryville, Dale Neal of Gastonia, Tony Neal and wife Teresa of Mt Holly and Butch Neal and wife Sharon of Gastonia and a sister, Toni Welch and husband Marvin of Lawrenceville, Georgia, as well as 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Saturday, November 3rd at 11:00 am, at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with the Reverend Terry Gibson officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 am. Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
