Gastonia – Joseph Lee Harrington, 80, went home to be with his Lord on April 29, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Lillington, NC on July 7, 1938 to the late William and Carrie Smith Harrington. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, De Lois Harrington; son, Herman Harrington and sister, Marie Harrington.
He is survived by his son, Hiram Harrington and wife Sonji of Gastonia; daughter, Doris Corbett of Wilmington, Delaware; his brother, Thomas Harrington; grandchildren, Shaqore Harrington, Jaylin Harrington, Hadara Harington, Eboni Corbett, Shakena Corbett and great-grandchild, Maci Harrington.
Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 4th in the Chapel of Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Military Honors provided by the Gaston County Honor Guard and the NC National Honor Guard. Inurnment will be at a later date at the VA Cemetery in Salisbury, NC.
