Jonell B. Rogers

Gastonia-Barbara Jonell Rogers, 78 of 2710 Mary Ave., Gastonia passed away peacefully October 4, 2012 at Peak Resources.

She was a native of Gaston County, born September 6, 1934 to the late Colen and Mary James Rogers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 36 years Bobby A Rogers and a granson Jason Dye
Jonell was a member of Loray Baptist Church, and had worked at Firestone for over 34 years.

Survivors include her children, Bobby A Rogers, Jr of FL.
and Jonathan Shane Rogers and wife Susan of Gastonia;
daughter Barbara Mayes and husband Wayne of Ft. Mill, SC; Grandchildren Allen Rogers, Chris, Ryan and Pagan Dye;
Great Grandchildren Abby, Michael and Jack Dye;
Brothers Steve and Michael Rogers and sisters Libby Frye and Ruby Summey and may nieces and nephews

Celebration of life service will be 6:00pm, Monday, October 8, 2012 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Rev. Hubert Stanley and Rev. Kent Cranwford officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00pm prior to the service
Interment will be Private at Gaston Memorial Park
The family will be at the home of Jonathan and Susan Rogers, 4229 Heatherstone Drive, Gastonia; the family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Peak Resources staff and the many friends that visited.
