Dallas- Johnny Hubert Blake, 74 passed away December 18, 2014 at his residence.
He was born in Gaston County, NC on December 2, 1940 to the late William Clarence and Pauline Lane Blake
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Clara Blake and 5 brothers and 1 sister.
Johnny was a Member of Rankin Lake Baptist Church. Veteran of the US Air force and retired from trucking. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Dorothy Jenkins Blake; son, Grant Blake; daughter, Dana Blake; three grandchildren, Johnathan Blake, Shannon Blake Carpenter and husband Brandon, and Blake Leopard; 3 great grandchildren; Isabella Blake, Olivia Carpenter, and Layla Mace; Sister, Helen Blake Goodson, and daughter in law, Susan Blake; and
his beloved dog, Toby
Celebration of life service will be at 3:00 pm, Sunday, December 21st at Rankin Lake Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Loftin and Rev. Bob Cloninger officiating. Visitation 1:30 – 3:00 pm prior to the service.
Interment will be private.
