John H. Smith

Gastonia- John Henry Smith Jr., 51, passed away July 4, 2009 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Gaston County, the son of John Henry Smith Sr. and the late Lois Nolene Bost Smith. He was the owner/operator of Johnny's Garage and Wrecker Service, serving Gaston County since 1945.
He is survived by his father John Henry Smith, Sr. of Gastonia;
and a son John Henry Smith III and wife Cynthia of Gastonia,
grandchildren Tiffany, Courtney, and Karmyn Smith also of Gastonia,
sisters Donna Griffin and husband Jody also of Gastonia, Tanya Phillips and fiance Garland Cloer of Statesville.
A Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 pm Wednesday, in the chapel at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Keller officiating, the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, and after the service at the home of Donna Griffin, 211 Huffstetler Rd,. Gastonia.
Interment will follow at Hollywood Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery
