John Murray Greenlee, 94, died November 3, 2009 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Forsyth County, born February 4, 1915, son of the late John G. and Fronia Horton Greenlee. He was a World War II Merchant Marine, and a retired furniture salesman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Lance Murray Greenlee, brothers,and Dewey, James, and Harry Greenlee, sisters, Alline Walters, May Thornburg, Grace Stallings,
Survivors are his son, William B Greenlee, Grandchildren, Christine Cormier and husband Howard, John Greenlee and wife Kathleen, Dana Finsel and husband Jim, and Michael W Greenlee
Great Grandchildren, Laryn Harrison and Hunter Finsel
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 am Friday at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel. The Family will receive friends one hour prior.
Interment will follow at Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
