Stanley – Joe Berry Neal, 85, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2019 at Stanley Total Living Center with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Lincoln County on December 21, 1933 to the late Green Berry and Florence Rachel Leonhardt Neal. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Joy Patricia Dedmond and Brenda Lee Houston Neal; his children Bobby Joe, Tony, Dale and Rachel; and his siblings, Ada, Shirley, Martha, Ervin, John-Adam, Alvin, Marvin and Odell Neal.
Joe was a loving father and grandfather who will be greatly missed. He retired from textiles and was an avid farmer.
Left to cherish his memories includes his children, Terry Joe Neal, Mitchell Edward Neal, John William Neal, Daniel Adam Neal, Marvin Christopher Neal; Cindy Neal Bailey, Annette Neal and Beverly Neal Willard
21 Grandchildren 20 Great Grandchildren 2 Great Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm Friday, Dec. 20th
at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel prior to the Celebration of Life Service at 4:00 pm with Rev. Raymond Johns officiating.
The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Stanley Total Living Center for their care of Joe.
