Joe Billy Green

Gastonia - Joe Billy Green, 79, passed away December 24, 2022 at his residence.

He was born on February 1, 1943 in Gaston County, North Carolina to the late Owen and Louise Green. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Roger, Fred, and Richard Green; and a step-son James Edwards.

Joe was a good man and friendly to everyone. He was a joker with a great sense of humor that enjoyed making people laugh. He leaves many happy memories that will be cherished by all who knew him.

Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Judy Painter Green; sons, Terry Green, Billy Cash, and a step-son, Jimmy Edwards; daughter, Sherry; brother, Dennis Green; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren

The family will receive friends Saturday December 31, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Freewill Church of Jesus Christ 145 Hamrick Road Gastonia, NC 28056 with a Memorial Service following at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Jim Cash officiating.
